If the message of transplant ethics touches your heart and you are able to give a financial donation to promote such efforts, please consider directing a philanthropic contribution to:
California Transplant Donor Network (CTDN)* 1000 Broadway, Suite 600 Oakland, CA 94607 ph 888-570-9400
txbioethics@yahoo.com
*a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit entity
Make a donation just by grocery shopping! CTDN is partnered with eScrip (www.escrip.com). Every time you grocery shop, buy clothes, or fill your gas tank, the merchant will donate a percentage of your purchase to us. No extra charges are made to your accounts. All you need to do is register any or all of your existing grocery loyalty, debit and credit cards for use in the philanthropy program. In the San Francisco Bay Area, there are dozens of participating merchants including Mollie Stone’s, Claim Jumper, Le Boulanger, Round Table Pizza, San Francisco Chronicle, Macy’s, and several cruise lines. The eScrip program is also national so if you live outside of Northern California, there are hundreds of participating vendors around the country. Visit the eScrip webpage (https://secure.escrip.com/jsp/supporter/registration/step1.jsp) and register your grocery loyalty, debit and credit cards for use in this novel philanthropy program. The group ID number is 500000770. These donations will help fund the work of CTDN.
Forgo the traditional gift card and consider a GivingTreeGiveCard (www.givingtreelife.com). 10% of the value can be donated to charity.
Getting married? You can support transplant ethics efforts by registering with the I Do Foundation (www.IDoFoundation.org). From honeymoons to invitations to wedding gifts to charitable wedding favors, the I Do Foundation allows couples and their guests to make wedding-related purchases that generate donations for charity. The I Do Foundation's Charity Registry service also makes it easy for guests to make donations in lieu of gifts. All of these services are available free of cost at www.IDoFoundation.org. Check it out today, and choose California Transplant Donor Network as the beneficiary of your charitable wedding.
